Cycling Training

Whether you are a sprint or distance cyclist, hip mobility and strength are the two main factors when looking at performance.  To ensure a high level of performance we focus on correcting imbalances in the hip so it is free to move efficiently and effectively with each movement.

At NX Level we work to develop sport-specific power to help each individual athlete reach his or her performance goals.  Power development is accomplished through speed and strength training.

Speed Training

To accelerate on the bike a cyclist needs to train both on the bike and on land. Bike acceleration is a combination of strength and mobility together to both push and pull the pedal through each rotation.

Strength Training

Hip mobility and integrity is crucial to developing the full strength potential of the cyclist. Having properly functioning hips and legs will keep the low back strong and healthy and make each pedal rotation smoother, faster, and more powerful.

At NX Level we use all full body lifts such as front and back squats, both unilateral and bilateral rowing variations and core stability and strengthening exercises to enhance the strength and mobility that is crucial to the competitive cyclist.
